Healthcare in Idaho should be safe, local, and personal.

The Idaho Coalition for Safe Healthcare is on the front lines. Everyday, we see how Idaho families are facing growing risks. For decades, Idaho doctors have proudly provided evidence-based healthcare for families in every corner of our state. They deliver babies, support parents, and help neighbors through some of life’s hardest moments. But today, that care is under threat.

Families Deserve Care They Can Trust
When healthcare access is out of reach, families are the ones affected first. For many Idaho families, care that used to be close to home now means hours of travel.

Keep Politics Out of the Exam Room
Idaho physicians know their patients and their communities. When medical decisions move outside the exam room, patients can lose access to care they need.

Local Voices, Local Solutions
Idahoans across the state are speaking up to keep healthcare decisions close to home, with patients and doctors who know their communities best.

By the Numbers
Idaho lost 94 OB/GYNs between June 2022 and December 2024, a 35 percent drop in two years.
43 percent of OBs practicing in Idaho in 2022 no longer deliver babies here.
Outside Idaho's largest counties, 23 OB/GYNs remain to serve 569,000 Idahoans.
